River Thames Barrier Day Trip

It’s always good for your soul to get out and about and do something creatively different from the beautiful family portraits  we are commissioned to do.

On Sunday we had a family trip with our Sons, Chris & Thomas to the Thames Barrier.

We set off at 10 am from Leagrave station and travelled via Thameslink to St Pancras and then underground to Westminster.

Exiting out of the underground we went down to the River Thames and bought tickets for a return boat trip to the Thames Barrier travelling down river on the high tide via Greenwich.

It was a beautiful afternoon and a light breeze on the top deck of the boat was enough to keep the heat of the sun to a comfortable level.

It was a lovely relaxing experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

The river boat guide gave an informative and amusing account of the various landmarks along the way.

Here are some of the images I took.

I love the colour in the buildings in London and that has been really captured in these images. I made some very striking black & white images on show here. Images taken on a  Nikon D800 with a 28-300 zoom lens.
