We regularly attend Seminars to expand our knowledge in this fast moving digital age and are proud to say that we are used as a benchmark Studio when training newcomers to the Baby photography business. We continue to increase our portfolio and strive to ensure our clients receive a constant high standard of service.

Oakley Studios Our Family Photography
Hi again. We hope you enjoyed visiting our site. We will be updating the images regularly so please come back and visit us again.
We are situated very close to the Luton/Dunstable border, within easy access of the M1, with plenty of free parking available.
Our state of the art custom built modern studio has been specifically designed to provide a family friendly, warm, safe and comfortable environment for you and your family.
The beauty and tranquility of our studio environment puts our clients at ease and this in turn allows us to create wonderful family photography capturing your growing family.
Many of our clients return to us for regular family photography update portrait sessions of their children and we “watch them grow” year after year, creating memories and leaving a photographic legacy for future generations.
We hope our passion for our family photography is evident to you. Our aim is always to provide a truly professional service to our clients and for our images to become treasured historical family heirlooms.
Today, everyone is a “photographer”, we all have thousands of images on our electronic devices, some never to see the light of day. That is fantastic, we love photography and it is wonderful that our passion has become so popular. However, there is a huge difference between “selfies” and the family photography we offer. It scares us that this generation could become the generation of the lost image. Technology moves fast – we don’t know where it will be in ten years time – will we be able to view the thousands of selfies we are all taking – will we still have them – where will all our precious “mobile photographs” be? We, personally just do not know.
So please, don’t take a chance on something as important as recording your family as they are growing, increasing and changing. Family Photography is too important, here is our family above (2013), Christopher (next to Sue in front) is 22, graduated from University with a Physics Degree and now works away from home in Plymouth. Thomas (standing next to David) is 17 and training to be a Chef. It just seems like, in the blink of an eye, they have both grown from babies into fine young adults. Just look at us in the image (left) from 2002….. Also an image from our wedding day in 1990…. As they say Tempus Fugit

We are not just a photography Studio. For many years we have participated in various fund raising events for local charities. We have designed and printed fund raising calendars for The Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at The Luton & Dunstable Hospital and so far we are so proud to say we have raised over £5000 for the Unit. A huge “Thank You” goes out to all the NICU parents who allowed us to photograph their very special babies and to include them in our calendars, we truly could not have done this without their help.

“Being a photographer means you also need to have your photograph taken.”
I get to meet some of the best photographers in the World and occasionally I get photographed by them. This fantastic image is from a seminar/workshop I attended and was taken by Trevor E R Yerbury FMPA. Trevor and his Wife Faye Yerbury FMPA are part of a family portrait dynasty that goes back over 100 years and four family generations in Edinburgh. They have won countless awards and are legends in our industry. They are so passionate about their craft and extremely generous with their photography knowledge that they pass on to other photographers like me.
I get a huge amount out of attending these workshops and seminars and it helps me increase my knowledge in my craft. Even after nearly 40 years behind the camera, I am still learning my craft.
