WE LOVE OUR WORK

Over the last 35 years, we have taken a lot of photos!


It has been amazing for us to have been included in our clients lives -  shooting their weddings, their growing families, their children growing up.   Some of our very first tiny babies  are now coming back to us with their babies - mindblowing - just like to say we started out when we were very very young!!!!


Along with all the family and occasion photoshoots we offer magical fairy theme shoots and fun filled Christmas shoots.


We have a fabulous garden studio based at our home. Being out of town gives us a tranquil studio environment which  puts everyone at ease ready for relaxing family photoshoot. Easy to locate with free parking to boot.  What's not to like?

David and Sue Doyle are proud members of the Master Photographer's Association (MPA) and have been awarded the exclusive health and safety "Newborn Certification".

As the only photographers in Luton and Dunstable to hold this certification, you can trust that David and Sue have taken every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your precious little one during their newborn photography session.

Newborn baby photography is incredibly popular, but it can also be risky if proper procedures and safety measures are not in place.

By operating their business with the welfare of the baby as their primary concern, David and Sue have earned the trust and confidence of their clients, and you can be sure that your baby is in safe hands.

During those first few days, your baby is still so new and delicate, with tiny fingers and toes and cute little curled-up arms and legs. Let us create timeless images that capture this unique moment in time - images that you will cherish forever.

We will take the time to photograph your baby in different poses and with different props, such as heirloom outfits or special blankets or toys that you would like included. We will also take images of the proud parents with your baby, creating your very first family portrait. Siblings are more than welcome, so please let us know who will be joining you.

We understand how precious your little one is, which is why we approach every newborn photoshoot with love, care, and respect. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

We hope you will fand the answers you need here, if not please do get in touch...

  • Where is the studio?

    We are based on the Luton & Dunstable borders, out of town and really easy to find with free parking.

  • Baby isn't due just yet - can I still book you ?

    That's absolutely fine.  If you still have some weeks to go, then give us a call and we can book a flexible  'floating date'.  Babies arrive when they are ready, we totally understand but by booking a floating date, we then adjust our diary around this .

  • My baby's just arrived - can I still book ?

    First, congratulations.  Newborn shoots usually take place between 0-12 days when baby is still curled up and sleepy, so if that's your baby then give us a call today.  If your little one is over 12 days, then please still call, we can  book you in but some poses may change and we need to go through this with you first.

  • Can parents and siblings join in?

    Yes of course.  It's a lovely chance for your first family portrait.  Little brothers and sisters can sometimes get overwhelmed by the session, so a bit of forward planning is  a good idea if they are to be included.  Please speak to us about this, we have lots of ways to help and lots of experience.   

  • What should my baby wear?

    We do have a range of outfits and materials for baby but if you have a special outfit and want your baby to be photographed wearing this then please bring this along.  We have a range of colour schemes and we can discuss this nearer the time of your shoot.  We will provide a guide which should deal with your queries, but if there is anything else you want to know about, please call us.

  • How long does the session last?

    We are guided by baby on this one.  We don't rush the stars of the show.  We wait until they are nice and settled before starting.  It's a good idea to bring water with you and maybe a snack and all the baby supplies.  It could last a couple of hours so please make sure you allow for this, especially if you have other children who may need looking after or collecting from school.

  • What are your business hours?

    Oakley Studios hours Wednesday  to Saturday 9.00 am - 5.00 p.m..  However, due to the nature of our work we are flexible so its always best to call us for a chat about this.  All of our portrait session are by appointment only

  • What are your costs?

    Our booking fee for Newborn photoshoots is £49 which includes a gift image in a frame. Our digital collections start from £299
